As a L1 SOC Analyst, you’ll be on the front line of defense—monitoring dashboards, investigating events, and ensuring threats are handled swiftly. Along the way, you’ll refine your skills, gain hands-on experience, and build a strong foundation to advance in your cybersecurity career.
Your Challenge
- Monitor dashboards and respond to security events and incidents using predefined playbooks.
- Escalate complex cases to L2 or higher when needed.
- Contribute to improving Ataccama’s internal processes for monitoring, incident response, and overall security operations.
- Assist with creating and maintaining documentation.
- Communicate with users, support them in resolving issues, and provide day-to-day operational assistance.
What You’ll Do
- Detect and respond to threats, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure endpoint and cloud resource protection across Ataccama systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Participate in threat analysis, malware investigation, and evidence collection for potential forensic use.
- Contribute to documentation and help shape Ataccama’s risk management framework.
- Support Professional Services in delivering secure projects to customers.
- Take part in security awareness initiatives and training programs.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with the IT and Security teams on both daily operations and long-term initiatives.
Is This You?
- You have a general understanding of information security and a strong desire to deepen your expertise.
- You’re familiar with core IT concepts: networking, OSI model, DHCP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN and Linux
- You’re curious, methodical, and eager to solve problems—even in unconventional ways.
- You bring patience, positivity, and a willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You can spot patterns, investigate root causes, and aren’t afraid to ask “why.”
- Self-Starter, can see problems and develop solutions.
Bonus points (but not required):
- Previous experience in IT support or security/compliance roles.
- Knowledge of cloud environments and virtualization.
- Experience coding in any language.
- Awareness of frameworks like SOC2, NIST, SANS, CIS Benchmarks, or ISO 27001.
