Your challenge
- Process and book various financial documents, including invoices and bank movements, for our entities
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date ledgers
- Post payroll entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts
- Booking of business travel expenses for domestic and foreign trips in our accounting system
- Booking of expenses paid with company debit cards
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and settlements between entities
- Month-end and year-end closing of balance sheets
- Coordinate VAT returns and other statutory filings in cooperation with local tax advisors
- Ensure all entities remain compliant with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency through system capabilities
Is this you?
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of Czech accounting standards, IFRS and local GAAPs within Central and Eastern Europe are beneficial
- Familiarity with VAT regulations and basic statutory reporting requirements
- You understand the basics of tax regulation and travel expenses
- You specialized in or studied economics at the high school level or above
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proactive mindset – able to anticipate issues and suggest solutions before they escalate
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar); fast learners with strong motivation to adapt to new systems are equally welcome
- You’re comfortable using GSuite and AI tools
- You’re able to speak communicative Czech & English and can exchange emails with our English-speaking colleagues
