Ataccama and the power of community
We're big champions of the engineering community. In 2024, and earlier this year, we attended PyCon Wroclaw and Python Pizza Brno respectively, and connected with Python enthusiasts and developers.

Our very own Dariusz Kryszczuk delivered an engaging talk on Python 3.13, and its impact on concurrent programming.

Dariusz, part of the winning AI Hackathon team, took to the stage to break down the new changes, explaining how developers can take advantage of them to better utilize resources, to improve performance, and scale operations. The Global Interpreter Lock, said Dariusz, has been a sad reality of Python for more than 30 years, a frustrating limitation for users. Now, for the first time, we have the power to turn it off. This’ll lead to improved performance, and increased scalability. By allowing multiple threads to execute at once, we can speed up our tasks in general, and handle larger workloads overall.

From one Python to another

Flash forward to February 2025, when we sponsored Python Pizza Brno, an event that keeps the spirit of community alive through short, impactful talks and networking opportunities.

At our booth, we chatted with industry experts, connected with business leaders, and shared more about our culture and career opportunities.

Mia Bajic, one of our engineers, and a talented public speaker herself, had this to say:

The greatest value in attending tech events is the people. You get to talk, share experiences and thoughts, and discuss all things tech. It's a great way to stay in the loop in this IT world that's constantly changing.”
