Your challenge

  • Make the magic happen! You will be the person responsible for managing and successfully executing our major, multi-region events that typically happen 2x/year. These include our Customer Advisory Boards, User Conferences, and major product launches, taking place in-person, in the digital world, or as hybrid events.
  • Be everyone from the furniture mover to on-stage host to tech support. Roll up your sleeves and step in with the big stuff and the little stuff alike. Don’t differentiate between junior and senior tasks, just see what needs to be done and either handle it yourself or guide the event team to make it happen.
  • Be the project manager from start to finish, and especially in the planning phase. Collect ideas, create a workback plan, watch deadlines, resolve dependencies and blockers, and make sure everything comes together on time and at the quality we need.
  • Manage everything related to the event venue and operations, gather content (from internal SMEs, clients, partners, etc.), handle promotion, and take care of lead generation (getting attendees on board). Run it all from initial brainstorming and kick off surveys through day-of execution and follow ups.
  • Work with and guide a team that’s at your disposal—events, design, content, product, senior management, etc. while the team continues to work on their day-to-day stuff. Plan and prioritize well ahead of time to make sure you get what you need from everyone to make the event successful.
  • Come up with wild, out-of-the-box but fitting ideas that can differentiate us, and set our events apart from what our competitors are doing.
  • Handle the stressful, sometimes competing, or conflicting demands of our biggest events of the year. Manage crises with grace. Be quick on your feet and come up with creative solutions when the situation demands it.
  • Manage a generous budget. The options are nearly endless, but make sure that we’re getting the maximum value out of our investments and that the event itself returns on the investment we make into it. Track and report on spending throughout.
  • Quickly understand the company, our team, and how we communicate with clients so you can translate our style, culture, approach, and values into the big and small details of the events. Ensure our events are big, awesome, fun, stimulating, engaging, smart, and executed with a sense of humor and a feeling of ease.
  • We have very high standards and expectations for the success of these events and as a company we like big, tough challenges. Live out our motto #ChallengingFun in your work.

Is this you?

  • Real experience delivering events for demanding clients, both in-person and in the digital world. Ideally, you have experience with hybrid events.
  • You have experience with events for tech companies. You have a decent understanding of what we do and know how to meet the needs and expectations of our clients and prospects.
  • You have a good relationship with technology. You know something about video and sound quality, streaming, have familiarity with digital conference platforms, etc.
  • You’re willing to work across time zones in North America, Europe, and APAC (primarily Australia/New Zealand). You’re not expecting a 9-5 role and will be available for sync calls with different regions that can happen at odd times, especially as the event approaches.
  • You’re someone that people like to work with, but you’re not afraid to be demanding when it’s called for. You know what you need and ask for it, and keep asking if necessary.
  • You’re available and willing to travel as needed to staff events around the world.
  • You’re a master of time management and know how to stick to deadlines. You’re self-driven and naturally organized, and can keep others on track, too.
  • A big plus: You live in and have positive working relationships with event vendors, suppliers, and agencies in cities like New York, London, Prague, or other major capitals. You can easily find someone reliable to help with whatever you need when you need it.
